Jammin Retrospect Episode 46

In this episode we enjoyed breaking some retro packs of 1996 Collector’s Choice Football and 1996 Playoff Absolute Football. The packs were chosen by Kyle D @wkd1223. Thank you Kyle!

1996 COLLECTOR’S CHOICE FOOTBALL

I remember buying massive amounts of Collector’s Choice in 1996. One of the big draws for me personally was the MVP inserts. The base silver were very cool and the hunt for gold was a lot of fun. The gold version fell at 1:50 packs, but thankfully Collector’s Choice was a cheap product so you could up your chances by buying a stack of packs.

1996 PLAYOFF ABSOLUTE FOOTBALL

Yes! This is one of the key high-end products for 1996 football. The cards have a nice thick stock and quality feel. Each pack had a pack inside a pack, so you essentially opened 2 packs for the price of 1. Unfortunately, this product was a bit costly when it released, but it did have some really sweet inserts.
