2016 Panini Clear Vision Football Box Breakdown and Review

Clear Vision football is a truly unique product featuring all acetate cards. When this product released last year we were thrilled with the design. Panini kept the same setup this year with a full acetate base card set, 18 cards per box and 1 hit. Unfortunately, they did remove the stained glass and clarity cards.

However, one great aspect of this product is that all jersey and autograph cards are serial numbered /99 or less. The majority of the boxes will only yield a jersey card, while autographs fall 2 per 9 box inner case. Let’s take a look and see if we can grab one of these elusive autograph cards.

TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY?

It’s really a tough call on this product. All 18 cards are acetate and nicely designed, leaving you feeling like it was worth the money you paid. However, there really isn’t that much value in a box – especially if your hit is a simple jersey card.  Clear Vision would look great as a full, complete set but completing the set with packs is impossible. You only acquire 12 base cards per box, so the only real option to complete the set is to purchase base cards individually online.

As I try to find a logical reason to purchase this product as a hobby box, I come up completely empty. Yet for some unknown reason, I love it and recommend purchasing a box for yourself – especially as the price continues to drop throughout the rest of the year. The cards are just fantastic to look at and the different insert cards are simply awesome.

So there you have it, it is illogical and Spock would disagree with my recommendation to purchase this product – but my human emotions say BUY IT UP!
